Good news! On December 16th, the SF Rec & Parks Commission unanimously approved the Lafayette Park Conceptual Plan. We want to thank all of you who participated in the multiple community input meetings, and who showed support either via letters or by appearing at the hearing. With all of your help, we now have a wonderful park plan. We promise to keep you posted on future events and new information as we continue in the process.

Join your district supervisor candidates for a public forum on parks, recreation, and open spaces issues. Forum questions will be collected from attendees at the event. Questions can also be sent to supervisordebates@sfnpc.org in advance.

Each election year, NPC hosts supervisorial candidate forums that focus on park, recreation, and open space issues. The goal of these forums is to give you the opportunity to learn more about each candidate's knowledge of and positions on these subjects.

While NPC does not endorse candidates, they do give them "park-friendly" ratings based on a questionnaire that they are asked to complete. Candidate responses are posted on the NPC website: http://sfnpc.org/park-friendly-ratings
