Renovate the Lafayette Park Playground: Goal - $600,000

    Picture
Friends Of Lafayette Park has a Playground Committee with a special focus on the improvement of  the Lafayette Park playground to benefit its many users and the neighborhood.

The current playground is badly in need of restoration, repair, and enhancement. In 2008, the voters of San Francisco passed the Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond to fund renovations in Lafayette Park and other parks throughout the city. As part of this, the playground will be upgraded to replace outdated and unsafe playground equipment and provide a ADA-compliant playground for kids of all ages. However, the cost of a high-standards playground in San Francisco will surpass the allocated amount.

Therefore we are working to raise $600,000 in additional funds from the community by January 2012 to ensure that the playground is a unique and special environment that will encourage healthy and creative play for years to come. If you are interested in donating, please read our case statement and donor booklets below. You can donate on our online form or by contacting us at playground@friendsoflafayettepark.org.

San Francisco Parks Alliance is the fiscal sponsor for Friends of Lafayette Park Playground and all donations are fully tax-deductible.
