Landscape Friends Of Lafayette Park (LFOLP)

Lafayette Park has been an oasis of green lawns and vistas overlooking the Bay since the 1860's.  After the earthquake of 1906, it became a refuge for neighbors whose homes had burned.  Now, with its verdant landscape, playground and tennis courts, the park is enjoyed by adults, children, and dogs, alike.

As a result of the voters' approval of the 2008 Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond, Lafayette Park will soon receive funding for park improvements.  There are many areas of the park that need fixing, but we would like to hear what you think, so please fill out the Landscape Survey.  The results of this survey will permit neighborhood park users like you to have a voice in Lafayette Park's improvements. The first official community meeting with SF Recreation and Parks Department took place on April 22nd.  We were very happy with the turnout and the quality of participation.  There will be two more public meetings this summer.

To learn more about Lafayette Park's renovation, visit the "Park Renovation Project Public Notices" section of this  website. If you would like to become involved in the newly formed neighborhood landscape committee (LFOLP) contact friendsoflafayettepark@gmail.com. Thank you for your interest and participation!
