The goal of the event was raise awareness about Lafayette Park and the diverse groups of people it serves, and about FOLP.
FOLP provided free food and drink, and live acoustic entertainment throughout the evening. Opportunities to learn about, and volunteer for, various FOLP and other community activities were available. This year we had information about the ongoing park renovation and the opportunity to meet citywide park professionals, as well as FOLP board members and activists working with Dog Friends of Lafayette Park, Tennis Friends of Lafayette Park, the Lafayette Park Playground Committee, and the Lafayette Park Landscape Committee.
Although the Fall Social is free, and completely produced by FOLP and some very supportive sponsors, we hope attendees will use this event to fall in love with our park, and spark their desire to contribute or raise funds so our newly renovated park will be fun, beautiful, and safe for all of our park. We hope you can join us for next year's event. To be notified of this and other park announcements, sign up for our mailing list.
